Cache files can sometimes cause display issues when they're piled-up. We can do browser troubleshooting steps to get rid of it.
If the Pause button is still missing, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Customer Care Team. They can further investigate and provide additional troubleshooting steps to resolve this.

What I have found is that if you increment to the following month the menu will then show the ability to pause. I found this to be a very annoying feature.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
