Let me guide you in downloading the QuickBooks Online app to your laptop.
If your laptop meets the desired system requirement, you should be able to download the desktop app on your new PC.
You'll have to make sure that you're using a Windows 64-bit laptop and ensure that the user must be a QuickBooks Online subscriber or an accountant with a QuickBooks Online Accountant so you can download the app.
Go to theGear⚙ icon. Then select Get the desktop app.
Depending on your settings, you might see the app install automatically. If not, QuickBooks will prompt you to save the .exe file.
If asked, choose where you want to save the file and select Save. Open the QuickBooks Setup file to install.
A shortcut to the app gets installed on your desktop. After you install the app, it should open automatically. If it doesn’t, open the app from the shortcut.
On the sign-in screen, enter your user ID and password. Then select Sign in.
If you see more than one QuickBooks Online company, select the company you want to open.
The first time you use the desktop app, you’ll see an option to select how QuickBooks is displayed on the main homepage, (you can change this later).
If you switch from QuickBooks Desktop and want a similar view, select Yes, let’s go.
If you’re already familiar with QuickBooks Online, select No, I already know how to use QuickBooks Online.

I am getting Error 6175.0 when trying to open company file. I installed Tool HUb, went to Service Manager. Informed me to go to Utilities and click Host Multi User Access. It does not give me the option. The only option is to Stop Multi User Access.
Thank you for taking the necessary steps to address Error 6175.0 when attempting to open your company file, @Bruno2024. I am here to provide additional guidance since the issue continues.
If you have the full version of QuickBooks Desktop installed on your server: Please check all your workstations before proceeding to your server computer to adjust your hosting settings. To do so, follow the steps below:
Open QuickBooks on your server computer.
Go to the File menu and hover over Utilities.
If Host Multi-User Access is available, select it. Then, repeat this step and choose Stop Hosting Multi-User Access to reset the multi-user mode.
Go through the process and choose Host Multi-User Access again.
If the full version of QuickBooks Desktop is not installed on your server, only the Database Server Manager is installed on your server computer. You can follow the steps to scan the folder containing your company file.
After checking the abovementioned and the issue persists, I recommend using QuickBooks File Doctor, a tool that refreshes your system files.
Here's how:
From the Tool Hub, select Company File Issues.
Choose Run QuickBooks File Doctor, which may take about a minute to open. If it doesn't open automatically, search for and manually open QuickBooks Desktop File Doc.
In the File Doctor, select your company file from the dropdown, or use Browse to locate your file if it's not listed.
Choose Check your file (only the middle option) and click Continue.
Enter your QuickBooks admin password and select Next.
I'll ensure that your QuickBooks Online Payroll is updated successfully, Alop2025.
