Quickbooks Desktop 2025 Release Date?

Hello, James5465.

Thanks for joining us here in the Community. I'm happy to provide some info about upgrading your QuickBooks Desktop account to the latest version.

When a new version of QuickBooks is available, you'll get a prompt when you open your account. After creating a backup of your current file, here's how to upgrade:

1. Open QuickBooks Desktop, then select Upgrade Now.
2. If you want to keep your current QuickBooks version, select Keep old version on my computer. Then, select Let's go. Otherwise, leave it blank then select Let's go. QuickBooks downloads, installs, and activates the new version for you.
3. When the upgrade finishes, select Open QuickBooks.

The following linked article provides additional info about upgrading QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

Please don't hesitate to drop a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a hand.

Quickbooks Desktop 2025 Release Date?

@1-888-349-2395  You'll be able to use the full version of 2024 until 2027; after that, it'll work like any other sunsetted QB product.

There is currently no 2025 version, and odds are great that there will not be. QB is trying to shuffle away from Desktop.

@KG43  Not sure exactly what you're referring to, but QB moved to a yearly payment model for (currently) 2022 and forward. You'll still always get charged once a year, depending on when your subscription started.

I got hit in early January, for instance.

Quickbooks Desktop 2025 Release Date?

Intuit has been charging us way to much just to get us to moving to online instead of Desktop.  I will never give Intuit that much control.  Shame on you Intuit for making my bill this you over $2600 as a proadvisor for an accountant.
