If there is apps connected to QBO (like Square, etc), can I track invoices created in QBO vs those created in an app and brought over to QBO? I feel that when I look at invoices, they are a mixture sourced from both if both are used. I would like to be able to tell them apart - what was created where. Thanks!!
Hello @dg311.
When you use applications to sync your sales transactions to QuickBooks Online (QBO), it's like your downloading bank transactions from your bank. You can match them with the records created in QBO. Moreover, transactions from Square can be downloaded as invoices or payments.

So if it is downloaded from Square as in invoice, then it shows up I believe in my invoices in QBO under Invoices.
However, I ALSO use QBO to make invoices, can I tell which invoice is sourced from where when I look at the list of invoices in QBO?
Hopefully I am making sense!
Thanks!!!
Yes you're correct, dg311.
Transaction from square is usually downloaded either Invoices or Payments. Then you can find match the transaction from QuickBooks.
You can also compare the transaction from your bank and from QuickBooks to determine which one is you're looking for.
You can check this article for more insights about the process: Add and match downloaded banking transactions
