Hi there, @blaisew.
Let's try some basic troubleshooting steps to check if this is a web browser related issue. Sometimes, the stored cache for a long period causes unusual behavior to the browser. Let me show you how.
To start, let's access your QuickBook Online (QBO) account via a private/incognito window. Here are the keyboard shortcuts in opening a private/incognito window:
If you're able to run reports with ease via a private/incognito window, then we'll have to clear your regular browser cache. This way, it'll prevent unusual behavior to the browser.
If the error persists, I suggest using another supported browser.
I've also added this great resources for reference in case you want to learn how to customize reports in QBO: CUSTOMIZE REPORTS
As always, feel free to leave a comment below if you need further assistant. I'm always here to help. Take care!
Hi JasroV
Partial success! I used incongnito (Chrome) and the report worked. So I followed your advice and cleared cache and site info. But that didn't seem to help when I wasn't in incognito mode.
Any other suggestions?

Hello, BPierce.
I appreciate taking the time to do the steps from JasroV. There are other things you can try to resolve the error messages. I'd be glad to share them to you.
If it happens on other areas in QuickBooks Online, then this might be an internet connection issue. It can cause the error message to appear when accessing certain pages. Try pressing F5 to fresh the management report page, or restart your internet router.
Also, ensure you're using a supported browser to get the browsing experience with QuickBooks Online. Check here for the recommended specs: System requirements for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Accountant.
However, if this only happens when accessing the management reports, then it could be an issue within the system. In this case, I recommend contacting our support team. They can check what's causing the error message and fix it for you. For an updated instruction:
After fixing the error messages, you can read our articles if you need help running the reports. Click here to browse them. The rest of the topics can be found in this page, too.
I'm more than happy to help you out again with QuickBooks Online. Post your replies with the details below and I'll get back to you. Have a nice day ahead.
