Can I reclassifying transactions by batch for their Class and Location? I am subscribed to QuickBooks Plus.

I can share some information about reclassifying your transactions in QuickBooks Online, @ckabacus2017.

The option to reclassify the class and location of your transactions by batch is currently unavailable. It's a great idea to have such an option in QuickBooks, so I'll take note of it.

I also encourage you to leave feedback from within the product. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Provide your product suggestion.
  3. Click on Next to submit feedback.

You can check out this article for more information about providing feedback to make the program better: How do I submit feedback?.

In the meantime, you may need to open and edit the class and location manually one by one.

For more information on how to find transactions in your account history so you can review or edit them, check out this article: Find, review, and edit transactions in the account history in QuickBooks Online.

You can run a report from your Chart of Accounts to check your accounts and other aspects of your business. To set your general report preferences, here's how to run reports in QuickBooks Online

Please know that you can always drop by here if you need any help with reclassifying your transactions. I will be happy to assist you further. Have a wonderful day!

Can I reclassifying transactions by batch for their Class and Location? I am subscribed to QuickBooks Plus.

But I also saw on the community previous discussion saying that if you have QBO accountant or QBO Advanced version, then you can make this batch modifcation.

I just cannot see in my account how to change to QBO Advanced. (of course, I am ready to pay a bit more in one or two months just to get this problem solved.

Anyone may have ideas?

Thanks,

Thanks for your prompt reply, @ckabacus2017.

Yes, reclassifying transaction feature is also available in QuickBooks Online Advanced. I want to help you upgrade your account.

Let's view the pricing options to determine which subscription level is best for you. Once done, let's proceed to the next step.

Log in to your QuickBooks account, and make sure to sign in as company admin.

Follow these steps below:

  1. Select Gear and then Account and settings.
  2. Select the Billing & subscription tab.
  3. Make sure your payment info is up-to-date.
  4. In the QuickBooks Online section, click Upgrade your plan.
  5. Review the available plans and then select Choose plan.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to upgrade your plan.

I'm also adding this page if you need to revert your old subscription: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online account.

If the process is successful, we can use the reclassify tool to move transactions to similar accounts or change their classes in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Select Settings, then Reclassify Transactions.

Furthermore, let's ensure which transactions you wish to reclassify. Once everything is ready, Choose Apply.

For the detailed step, please visit this article for more information: Reclassify or move multiple transactions at once.

In addition, if you accidentally delete transactions, there's a way to locate and recover them. Follow this article for your guide: Use the audit log to re-enter deleted transactions.
