Each QuickBooks Online (QBO) company file requires its own subscription. Although you can access all your companies with the same login credentials, there is currently no multi-company plan available. If you manage multiple businesses, you will need to set up a separate subscription for each.
When it comes to consolidated reporting, QBO does not provide a native option for creating consolidated reports across multiple company files. If you need combined reporting, you can export your financial reports to Excel or use a third-party reporting app. QBO Advance also includes access to Fathom, which assists with multi-entity analysis. However, it does not generate consolidated books within QuickBooks itself.
There are no extra fees for API access. You can integrate with third-party applications at no additional cost from QuickBooks, though those apps may have their own subscription fees.
