View submitted FPS and EPS filings in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll

SOLVEDby QuickBooks16Updated over 2 years ago

In this article, we'll show you how you can see all your previous FPS and EPS submissions from the Payroll Tax Centre in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.

To see your submissions

  1. Go to Taxes.
  2. Select Payroll Tax.
  • All your previous filings are under Filed Forms. Each card shows the name of the form, the pay period it was sent, the status of the filing and the date it was submitted.
  • If you have filings that need to be sent, they will be under Due Now with a status of Overdue. Otherwise, you’ll see the message “All caught up! You don’t have any filings due right now”.
  • Each submission shown on the Taxes screen will have messaging to explain why the submission is required.

Can I see what has been sent to HMRC?

Yes! Simply select the submission you wish to view and select the Review tab.

You can copy the XML version by selecting the Copy Text button at the bottom of the screen, and paste into a word document or notepad.

What if my submission is rejected?

If your submission is rejected, it'll show under Due Now. The most common reason for rejected submissions is the Government Gateway credentials used are incorrect, check that you have entered the correct user ID and password.  See Turn on RTI reporting to HMRC in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.
