Hi,

I would like to migrate our data saved in Quickbook Enterprise to Quickbook Online.

Please advise how we can proceed it.

Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO) in managing your business. Let me help you migrate your data from QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to your Online account, P93.

We can use Dataswitcher to migrate your data. It is our available data migration supplier that helps you make your transition to QBO as smooth as possible. To learn more about this one, refer to this article: Import Data Conversion to QuickBooks Online - Frequently Asked Questions.

Another way to migrate your data is to import your lists (suppliers, customers, inventory, and chart of accounts) to QBO. Just export your list reports first to Excel in QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:

    1. Access your QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
    2. Go to Reports on the top menu.
    3. Depending on what list you need to export, search for and run Account List, Customer Contact List, Supplier Contact List, or Product/Service List report.
    4. Customise the list report’s columns. Then, choose each report export them to Excel.

For more details about this one, see Import or export MS Excel files article.

Then, import them to your Online account. Just follow the steps and details in this article: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online. Then, go to Step 2: Import your lists to QuickBooks Online section.

To import your bank transactions to QBO, just connect your account to automatically download them. I'm also adding an article here on the things that you need to know about importing your data: Frequently asked questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Visit our QBO Help Articles page for more insights about running your business.

Keep me posted if you need a hand with categorising your accounts in the register or any QuickBooks related. I'm always here to ensure your success. Have a great day.

What about the transaction history of purchases, sales, banking and journal entries?

    Hello there, P93.

Due to product differences, there are certain transactions that will be imported and not. This article is for the US region but you can get ideas on how transactions are imported: What to expect when you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. In QuickBooks Online, you can use the Banking option to connect your bank and download the transactions so you can add them to your register.

You can use these articles that will give you further information about the conversion process:

Feel free to mention me in your reply if there's anything else that you need help with. You take care!
