Payment links usually won't work if payments are disconnected, deactivated, or closed. If that happens, none of the invoice payment links will work. To check this, you can go to the Payments section in Account and settings to verify the status.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Select Payments. If it says Active, that means payments are currently disconnected, deactivated or closed; click Active to turn them back on. If your payment options are already displayed, this means your payments are active.

If payments are active, the specific invoice associated with the broken payment link has most likely been deleted or voided. You can check the Audit Log to confirm. Once confirmed, you can recreate the invoice and resend it to your client.
