Hello! Looking to do my Corporate Income Tax and I'm running into something I'm unfamiliar with. To keep it simple, I'll make up some numbers here, my business is construction, general carpentry and contracting. Lets say this: Total amount of money collected from clients: $120,000Total amount of money spent on materials for clients: $20,000Gross Income without accounting for material reimbursement from clients: $100,000Total payroll cost: $40,000 Should have profit at: $60,000  In my "profit and loss" report it is saying: Gross profit: $100,000Material Expense: -$20,000Payroll Cost: $40,000Total Income: $80,000   I have the material cost set up as an expense in my Products and Services. I just now set it as 'non-inventory' which hasn't corrected the issue for previous profit and loss reports. Wondering why it is saying the material reimbursement I'm paid is not part of my gross profit, but it then deducts it from my payroll cost.&n

We had our previous bookkeeper/accountant set up our quickbooks and chart of accounts. They did not set it up the way our business is structured, what is the best way to fix this? Do we need to delete everything and start from the beginning?

I was trying to move two clients from Accountant-billed subscription to Client-billed subscription and both accounts now show canceled.

I'd like to give someone in my company access to QBO to help with margin and sales analysis, AR, AP, etc. But I don't really want her to see individual salary information.  And actually ideally commission information. Is there any way to do this?

I am onboarding a client who currently has QBO with another accountant. How do I get them to switch over to me and still keep the data

Hello everyone. Our company is in the process of transitioning to another accounting software from quickbooks online but we would like to retain our historical records in Quickbooks Online. Does anyone know the cost of retaining historical data in quickbooks if we don't continue to use it anymore? We won't be using it going forward but would like to access our historical data in there already.

I currently use QB Desktop Pro 2019 and am considering moving to QB Online.  I have multiple company files on QB Desktop.  It doesn’t look like the online version supports multiple company files.  Is this correct?  

I’ve tried also to download the trial version of QB Desktop in order to import my QBO info into QBD but I can’t even do that. QBO only exports in excel. Unless I can find a solution, I will need to change software, this is unacceptable. I’ve seen this problem in the community before from 2016 but it is still not fixed!

How I can make sure it is activated? In the email sent to me it says click on gear icon and then click on My account. I cannot see my account. Please help. Thank you

Hello,  I am looking to start doing the bookkeeping for my and my husband's small business using QuickBooks, however, he had previously been using the QuickBooks account for the past 2 years or so for invoicing and had already linked the business bank account and credit card to QuickBooks, but none of the books were ever done using QuickBooks because we had outsourced that part to a bookkeeper who used different software. I would like to start doing the bookkeeping myself as of our new fiscal year of January 1 2023, bit am unsure how or if it is possible to start from scratch using the same QuickBooks account. We don't want to lose any of the invoice history. Is there a way to start balaning the books from the new fiscal year only? Thank you in advance!!
