Account set up wrongly. Can I delete everything and start again?

I have set up my Quickbooks account and tbh didn’t really know what I was doing. The way this has been set up is completely wrong for my business. Am I able to delete everything and start again?

Yes, you can delete everything and start over, provided your account is new, and you have used it for 90 days or less.

 

Please note that this option is available only for QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced, Plus, and Essentials. For Simple Start subscriptions, or accounts older than 90 days, you must cancel your current subscription and start a new one.

 

To begin, sign in to your account. Then, modify the URL to include /purgecompany by changing (https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage ) to (https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany ). The next screen will display a summary of the items to be deleted. Type Yes to confirm, then click OK.

 

If your desired industry differs from the one shown, you should update it. Select whether you would like the system to create accounts based on your industry or start with an empty chart of accounts.

 

Once you have made your selections, click Wipe Data. The system will then redirect you to the homepage.
