I know that but how do I connect my QUICKBOOKS checking account? What is the bank selection on Plaid?

Let me help make sure you can connect your checking account to QuickBooks Online (QBO). We’ll have to go to the Transactions page and link the account from there. It’ only takes a few clicks to get there.

Here’s how:

1. In QBO (QBO), press the Transactions menu on the left panel and choose Banking.
2. Tap the Connect account or Link account menu in the upper left to open the Connect an account page.
3. Enter your Financial Institution’s name in the search field and select it.
4. This action will take you to the Sign in to account screen.
5. Click the Continue button and then key in your banking user name and password.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process.
7. Then pick your checking account and select the account type. Make sure it matches the one in your chart of accounts (QBO).
8. Set how far back you want to download the entries and click Connect.

Check the following reference for more insights into this process: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online. It includes instructions on how to link your bank or credit card from the chart of accounts.

Also, this resource will guide you on how to classify downloaded entries. You’ll also learn about reviewing and matching transactions. Click here to view the complete details.

Keep in touch if you have other banking concerns. I’ll get back to make sure this is taken care of for you. Have a great weekend.
