Hello there, @ptmartin4-gmail-.

One possible reason why QuickBooks is not showing the Payroll tab could be because of the accumulated temporary internet files. Let's perform basic troubleshooting steps to check whether this has something to do with your browser. Use an incognito window and update it from there. Here are some of the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

You also want to clear the cache to fix browser errors and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date one.

You can read through this article for more insights into tracking your payroll liabilities and expenses: Set up Payroll account preferences.

I’ve also added this resource that you can use for future guidance: Process or run payroll. This link can walk you through the steps of paying your employees effectively in QBO.

Drop me a comment below if you have any concerns about payroll. I'm still here if you need further assistance. Have a good one.
