Welcome to the Community, WHNation.

QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019 doesn't support the macOS Tahoe 26.1. It is compatible with specific macOS versions, including High Sierra, Sierra, and El Capitan.

Please note that QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019 (QBDT Mac 2019) was not tested with macOS Tahoe (version 26.1). Additionally, Intuit officially discontinued this product on May 31, 2022, meaning it no longer receives support, updates, or access to add-on online services.

While QBDT Mac 2019 may still function, you could encounter compatibility issues when running it on newer macOS versions. To ensure compatibility and optimal performance, consider upgrading to a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. Before proceeding with an upgrade, remember to back up your files to prevent any data loss.

I have noticed that 2024 Desktop for Mac is lagging under mac Tahoe 26.1.

I get the spinning carousel wheel on virtually every click. Even clicking the menu without a fille open. Just started happening, but never before.

Thanks,

John Cooper

@WHNation

I've seen several reports from the past few months indicating that QB Desktop 2019 users can run it on Tahoe without any issues. Are you experiencing any specific issues?

It's running, but updating the date of a payment is failing. It's just refreshing the page with the old date. I will play around with some settings to see if anything fixes it.

I did figure out the issue. I noticed some of the date formatting was a little wonky. My computer's date formatting was set to an international / non-US style date format in Language & Region in System Settings. I quit the application, updated my region formatting to US, and restarted the app. After that date editing worked fine.

Happy to report that the upgrade to Tahoe works fine with QB 2019l In my case, it works even better than Sequoia (which would only allow me to populate certain fields by spelling out the entire account name) or else it would crash. Now it auto fills correctly once I start typing the first few letters and doesn't crash.
