Hard Drive Failure - No Disc QB2017

Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to install QB2017. I can't remember what version it was, pro or not, most likely not pro.

I have the QB backup saved but I don't believe I have the disc or if it was downloaded when purchased online (most likely).

Is there a way to get me a link to the last updated version of 2017?

No, a download link for the 2017 installer is no longer available because that version is unsupported and no longer receives security patches or updates. Running it locally carries significant risks, including software crashes, system errors, and data vulnerabilities.

The best path forward is to move your backup file into a supported ecosystem, such as QuickBooks Online or a current QuickBooks desktop plan. I suggest upgrading to one of these options, as it is the safest way to ensure your reporting stays accurate, compliant, and protected.

Once you have chosen your path and upgraded, you will need to migrate or restore your company file to the new version to ensure no data loss. Doing so will immediately restore your access to customer support. You may also reach out to our QuickBooks Desktop live support team to help you seamlessly process these changes and transfer your files over.

Please don't hesitate to drop a reply below if you have any other questions or concerns.
