To give you the right amount of information and solution to fix the error you have while working with QuickBooks, may I ask what specific area you're working in while getting the error?
In the meantime, you can try using the basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. First, open your account using a private browser, you may use the following shortcut keys:
Google Chrome, press CTRL+ Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL+ Shift + P
Internet Explorer: press CTRL+ Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If it works fine using the private browser, open your account using the original browser and clear the browser's cache. You may also try accessing your account using another supported browser.
When I try to sign up/Apply for QuickBooks Payments I get a 404 page not found error after I've signed in to my QuickBooks account. It shows the left menu but a 404 in the main window ?!. Please advice :-)

The error 404 means that the web page you're trying to reach could not be found on the server. Let's run some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the problem. We can start with checking if your computer is connected to internet, and accessing QuickBooks Online in a private browser. This usually resolves any browser-related issues.

I am a student taking the QBO course and I am getting an error code when I try to log into the Payroll with the sample company. I have already tried logging in on a private browser and it did not fix the problem.
Thank you for joining the thread, @carter11_2. Let me help you with concern.
If you are using the Test drive account for QBO, there are limitations with regards to using the company file. However, we have QuickBooks Online for Students where you can also replicate the lessons that you learn in the course.
