Why do my statements list the transactions under a heading 'Product'? Can I change this?

Thanks for posting here today, @janeymo.

I have some information about changing the statement template. Currently, the option to change the statement header is unavailable. Below are the available choices from the statement settings.

  • List each transaction as a single line.
  • List each transaction including all detail lines.

Learn more about these in this article: Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Online.

There are four labels above the transaction details on the customer statement -

Date, Product, Amount & Open Amount.

The column under the heading 'Product' contains the Invoice details. The label is incorrect. Looking at samples & help guides on Statements this label should read 'Activity'. Is this a bug or something I can change?

Hi janeymo The information on a customer statement populates from the default invoice template. If you'd like to change this heading, bearing in mind that this will then also change on your default invoice template, you can do this by selecting the cog/gear icon > custom form styles > edit the default invoice > content > selkect the middle greyed out section on the right > edit labels and widths > change the name within the description field.
