Hi there, Roger. Adding notes to transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) can be done either before matching a transaction or after it has already been matched and posted.

Here’s how you can add notes before matching:

Go to the Accounting tiles, then select Bank Transactions.
Click the For review tab.
Find a match or select transactions to match.
Before clicking Match, look for the Memo field and enter your note there.
Click Match.

If the transactions are matched, follow the steps below:

Click on the Gear icon.
Select Chart of Accounts.
Choose the account where the entry is posted, then click View Register.
Find and select the transaction you want to edit.
Enter your note in the Memo field.
Click Save to update the transaction.
