Hi, Mary. Are you currently on an updated version of QuickBooks Desktop? Updating your product ensures you always get our latest bug fixes and security updates. If you've already done this, you can download the QuickBooks Tool Hub to help repair the program and resolve the crashing issue.

Once you have closed QuickBooks and installed the Tool Hub, go to Program Problems and select Quick Fix my program. After that, reopen QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

This tool closes any stuck background processes and restores the connection between QuickBooks and Windows, which helps prevent the program from crashing.

You can also check this article for more information: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reply. We're here to help.
