Hi, Mary. Are you currently on an updated version of QuickBooks Desktop? Updating your product ensures you always get our latest bug fixes and security updates. If you've already done this, you can download the QuickBooks Tool Hub to help repair the program and resolve the crashing issue.
Once you have closed QuickBooks and installed the Tool Hub, go to Program Problems and select Quick Fix my program. After that, reopen QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.
This tool closes any stuck background processes and restores the connection between QuickBooks and Windows, which helps prevent the program from crashing.
Hello there, @mary53. Since the issue persists after troubleshooting, I recommend contacting the QuickBooks Desktop Live Support team. They can check, review the error, and guide you through the next steps.
To contact them, go to Help > Contact Us, enter your issue, and follow the prompts to choose your preferred support method.
Feel free to reply here if you have any questions. We’re happy to help. Have a great weekend!
