Quickbooks Desktop Invoice Email Updated

I loved the new updated email format when sending out invoices to customers.  Unfortunately, two weeks ago it reverted back to the old format.  Is there a setting that I need to change or did they decide that Desktop users have to stick to the old, out of date style?  Has anyone else had this issue?

When sending invoices in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), the layout and messaging are dictated by your specific template settings within the Preferences menu.

To update these, navigate to the Edit menu, select Preferences, and choose Send Forms. Within the Company Preferences tab, click Edit to modify your default email templates and customize the subject line and body text.

Hello,

I am referring to the layout of the email.  It changed at the beginning of the year to a nice modern version and then changed back to the old bluish/grey header with the text aligned on the left.  I've attached a pdf with both versions.  Is there a way to switch back to the new layout?

The email layout you see typically depends on your email provider's application, such as Outlook. To get that modern look back, first make sure your email application is fully updated so it can correctly sync with the latest QuickBooks Desktop updates.

Next, follow these steps to ensure everything is current:

  1. Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release to ensure you have the most recent features and fixes.
  2. Restart your computer to allow all updates to take effect.
  3. Send a test invoice to your own email address to check if the modern layout has returned.

If you've updated both and still see the older style, let us know. We're here if you need more help getting this sorted out.

Our IT dept made sure that everything was updated and it still shows the old email layout.  Do you have any other suggestions?  Attached is a pdf showing our QB information.

It is a bit much that you and your IT team did all those updates, and yet that old layout is still showing up. Since the exact steps didn't change anything, having the live team look at your screen with you is the best way to see what is going on.

To reach them, head over to the Help > QuickBooks Desktop Help > Contact Us.

Did they provide you with a fix?

The previous user was heading to reach out to our live support team because this needs a live person to look at your screen and see why the modern UI isn't sticking, even after updates. They can check if it's a specific server-side rollout or a local configuration issue.

You can reach them by going to the Help menu in QuickBooks Desktop, selecting QuickBooks Desktop Help, and then clicking Contact Us.

Check their support hours to find a convenient time to connect.
