Live Chat is crap.  There is no live chat.  It's just an auto program that keeps sending you to worthless information. I've been trying to add a new employee for a week now and still can't get it to work.  I've had nothing but problems since change from TSheets to Time.  I think they changed the name to Time because it's time for me to look else where.  I don't have time to sit here on the phone waiting or typing this message.

Hi there, Diamondo1.

Let me guide you through the steps to reset or change your QuickBooks password using your Intuit account.

Before proceeding, please log out of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Ensure you have access to the email or phone number linked to your account, as this will be needed for verification.

Here are the steps to reset or change your password:

  1. Go to the sign-in help page.
  2. Identify and choose the phone number, email address, or user ID linked to your account. Additionally, you may be required to manually provide your account information if the system cannot detect it.
  3. If you opted for a user ID, choose your preferred verification method from the available options.
  4. Enter the code that's sent to your phone number or email, then follow the instructions in the message. We may also request additional information to confirm your identity.
  5. Type in a new password.

Create a strong and unique password to keep your financial data safe. Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid using easy-to-guess information like birthdays or common words.

You can also check out this article for more information about the process: Recover your Intuit Account if you can’t sign in.

I need help with changing my information in quickbooks. It’s not letting me fill out my taxes because my SSN was put in wrong or something so it’s saying it’s wrong when I know my SSN. Is there someone who could help me change it to the correct one?

Thanks for joining the thread and sharing your concerns, @Alivya E.

I hope your day is going great so far.

There's a couple of different ways you can update your SSN in QuickBooks.

The SSN is for the main company tax ID:

  1. Click the Gear icon > Account and Settings.
  2. Tap on Company > Company Name.
  3. Update the SSN in the Tax ID field.
  4. Hit Save and Done

If you are a contractor or an employee, you can often update this directly:

  1. Go to Payroll > Employees (or Contractors).
  2. Select your name.
  3. Tap on the Edit (pencil icon) next to Personal Info.
  4. Update the Social Security number field.
  5. Click Save

If you're still facing issues, I recommend contacting our Support Team for further guidance. Our team is fully equipped with the necessary tools to troubleshoot the issue.
