Current layout of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet statements are meaningless to me as they do not help me with management decisions. i need to change the layout of these, if not in the actual program then to have them exported to excel and change the excel sheet from there. i do not wish having to do this everytime i need to make a decision, is there any way that an excel sheet can be designed so that future sheets can simply be imported into the saved format?I used to be able to design these statements to my preferences in desktop version but this facility is not available on online version. A regressive step!
we would like to reorder the PL account from the order it is produced in QBO
We have a customer who we provide with products and invoice them.On occasion they provide a service, which they invoice us for.If they have an outstanding invoice payable to us, they deduct this from what they owe.E.g. We invoice £1000 We use service to value of £400. They pay us remaining £600. How do we correctly record this as a separate customer and supplier account would show the invoice they owe us as open.
I have also closed my books for 22/23, but there is no drop down option to see this current year?
moved from QB desktop using MMB and bank balances were correct now the open balances have disappeared so cant reconcile
every report defaults to the modern style. i prefer the classic style and have to change each report.
My accountant has picked up that my sales on my profit and loss are the gross figures but should be the net. How do I do this when using the Flat rate scheme?
Information much appreciated
I have been working with Quickbooks online for a couple of years, and previously used Quickbooks Desktop for many years. When I inputted all our different funder budgets into Quickbooks Desktop it would automatically pull them together if I ran the Budget vs Actual for the whole organisation. Quickbooks online does not seem to do this, I spend a lot of time inputting 30 different budgets, then have to download them into one document in excel and add up all the different cost codes each month so I can manually input one budget for the whole organisation. Has anyone found a way to either do this automatically or can suggest a less time consuming solution?
I want a FA report for period 01.07.22-31.03.23 to include all unrestricted funds Income & Exepediture for the period . Ticked the boxes relating to those categories under customise but they still don't appear. Am I missing doing something? Thank you
How do you turn this off. I dont like it and I didnt ask for it and It annoys me that they introduced it without first informing me. Im wasting time having to switch back to classic view all the time and Its driving me ( and looking online lots of others ) mad
More detail: the 'link' is still there. And the option for that bank account is still there. Yet, 5 years worth of info has disappeared. I don't understand why this might have happened. I didn't delete any info from that bank.
The standard pointers seem to deal with making an account Inactive, not reversing the process. There's got to be a tick box somewhere ...
The service includes sale price and cost price can I cannot see anywhere that the cost price is report
Hello. We are incorporating an existing Sole Trade business into a Limited Company. We are primarily a retail shop and cafe. The new company has 2 directors - the previous sole trader and her partner. The business is being transferred as a going concern in its entirety. We have opted to sell the assets (shop stock, equipment, goodwill etc.) to the new Ltd. Company. These assets have been valued. We understand that the Ltd Company should be invoiced for the value of the assets, and we have drawn up that invoice. The Ltd. company cannot pay for the assets immediately. So we have set up a Director's Loan account - this currently only records the cash transfer made from the Sole Trader bank account to the new company. We now want to record the assets which the company has been invoiced for but will remain a Liability for now.I can't get my head around how this should be recorded as ?Journal Entries?. If anyone can walk me through the steps, I'd be very grateful!
