How to delete products?

You can’t permanently delete products and services in QuickBooks, but you can make them inactive so they no longer appear in your lists. Once inactive, related transactions can’t be edited, and items will display as deleted in past transactions.

Here's how to make products inactive:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Products and services.
2. Find the item you no longer offer.
3. In the Actions column, open the dropdown next to Edit and choose Make inactive.
4. Confirm by clicking Make inactive when prompted.
