The system is designed to process one receipt per file. If your photo captures two receipts or a combination of a receipt and a bill, the auto-extraction engine will reject the entire upload. Before we begin troubleshooting, could you let us know whether you're on the mobile app or accessing the product through a web browser when submitting your receipts?
When uploading receipts to QuickBooks Online (QBO), we recommend avoiding sensitive or personal information, such as credit card numbers. Additionally, QuickBooks supports certain file formats, including PDF, JPEG, JPG, GIF, and PNG.
If you're using the QBO mobile app, please ensure it's updated to the latest version to receive improvements and security patches that enhance your overall experience and functionality. Then, let's reset the app's data and refresh its settings for optimal performance.
For iOS
Tap Settings, then locate General.
Select iPhone Storage, then QuickBooks Online app.
Press Offload App.
For Android
Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
Pick Settings, then Refresh Data.
Hit YES to confirm.
After that, restart your mobile phone and check if the issue persists. If it does, let's uninstall and reinstall the app. In the meantime, you'll want to upload your receipts using a web browser.
If you're using the web browser, you can open an incognito window to access the product with a clean slate.
