Good evening, Cherbear.

I appreciate you reaching out to the QuickBooks Community for support. I'd be happy to provide some information.

At this time, there isn't a specific date for when the update will take place. You should receive an email regarding the update. I recommend Updating QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release, to ensure you're getting the latest payroll tax table update. If you require further information regarding Payroll tax update, you can reach out to the support team outside of the Community by following one of the methods listed here.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach back out.

Thank you for the response. We are currently using QB23 R7_39. Will we need to update to QB24 in order to get the payroll updates?

OK so you are telling me that the 2024 payroll Tax table has been released already for QB desktop. As I do have all setting for automatic updates. As well have checked for updates and no payroll update. So after the next payroll run on Dec 18th, I will then go back and see if I can force a 2024 payroll update.

Hi sls3,

I was able to look further into this from my end, and have found that QuickBooks Desktop customers will receive email notifications on December 21, 2023.  In product updates, will be available on December 21st and it will be; QB 2024 (R5).  This update will include;

-Payroll Compliance updates

-CPP & QPP updates

-Dental Care code workflows

Once you've downloaded the latest product update, you will need to run payroll, or open and close QuickBooks Desktop for the TD1 amounts to update.

Let me know if you have other questions.  I'm happy to help!

I am in the state of Idaho and the updates for our state still don't show up, specifically the base wage change for SUI deductions.  Last year it was $49,900, this year $53,500.  Despite having the latest updates installed, the base wage has not changed.

I am Alberta Canada, as for our base amounts I had to manually change under each employee. That may not help you, but that was the only way I could ensure it was changed.

I tried to go that route, but it doesn't seem to be an option for me.

I searched and searched online and there does not seem to be a way for me to manually adjust the base wage.
