I REPEAT DO NOT INSTALL 2022.3.5
I can't do tax returns anymore!!! Profile has zoomed in to a point where I need de-magnifying glasses and a 100" screen to be able to see a simple form.
Just to put things in perspective, this is unworkable
I have posted separately on this
Intuit has decided that users do not need to see much on their screens. They have decided that 100% "zoom" is the width of your monitor. The smallest zoom availalbe is 45%.
I have a 34" 4K monitor. I want to see multiple returns side by side and from top of form to bottom of form
Or just a couple returns, plus windows of other programs as well
Profile has made this impossible
I now have GIANT returns on my screen even at just 45%
My efficiency is extremely impaired my efficiency

Same here, Larry.
I have a 49" 2K screen and it feels like I have magnifying glasses stacked even at 45%. I have a daily turnover of 20-40 tax returns at this time of year. I really can't afford to be troubleshooting a tax software.
Profile has been great to me for close to 15 years now, but it's been 2 years that their release have been rushed and botched up.
This might be my last year with them if this doesn't get resolved seamlessly by their support team.
I am having the same issue, Profile developers needs to realized this is tax season we should not try things like this out. The developers needs to reverse this issue and fix yesterday.
The developers are not think to do this during the busiest time of the year.
Have you figure away to revert back? please let me know.
Nope, no fix, no possibility to revert back.
You've to uninstall the current version & install your desired one, if you've it saved with the version #.
I have the same going on. Called and they said it might be fixed by the middle of next month. This is not acceptable. Will start shopping around for other software.
I was losing my frickin mind this morning after I updated and my 50" monitor is killing me with this min size at 45%. What the hell is Intuit thinking? This is completely unworkable!!!! Total bullsh*t.
Intuit will need to compensate their customers or do a refund. I am look into other tax software which does not have that dumb issue intuit did with profile. They have a lot of nerve to charge customers over 2,500 for a single licenses and they do this during the busiest time of the year. They have slow down my work process, for some that has 3,000 T1 and 40 T2 for the nest 2 months, who's going to observe the extra cost.
Exactly my thoughts! This is insanity. Intuit needs to give us the ability to roll back to the previous version if they can't resolve this quickly. Completely unacceptable.
I had the same zoom issue on my 24" screen after installing V2022.3.5. However, after changing from 45% to 75% on different files a few days, it now stay at 100% (with Enable Font Scaling checked) the whole day so far. I don't think I updated the monitor driver & any others last week at all. I may be wrong though.
This only applies to ultrawide monitors.. as that what I am working on.
We mostly use ultrawide monitors in our office. I enjoyed the ability to work on the tax returns for a family of 4-5 without having to minimize screens. This update has seriously reduced my efficiency. While I'm not in a position to decide which software we use here in our office... I have still made the suggestion that we should start looking at alternative software for next tax season if this isn't addressed as soon as possible.
I think this is ridiculous to put such an arbitrary minimum limit on the zoom feature. We should be able to select our zoom on a scale from 10% to 200% -- similar to how Microsoft Word does it.
Anyone has ever tried CCH iFirm as a replacement for Profile?
TaxPrep from CCH was my suite of choice prior to switching to Profile - I will also be looking into iFirm as an alternative since it also utilizes TaxPrep.
Hi all,
I apologize for the zoom issues. We are working an fixes for for ProFile 2022.4.0 due out later this month of March. Rest assured product management is well aware of these issues. ProFile users who have called 1-800-452-9970 have given us a chance to isolate the environment(s) there are problems,
Duncan thanks for the reply - The proof will be in the pudding. I'm ready to switch April 1 if this isn't resolved - I can't go through the April grind with this problem.
Hi,
Yes, I hope ProFile 2022.4.0 will have zoom feature improvements and certified T2205, MJ forms also
Duncan - when's the release date? I've got a pile of Trusts to file before Mar 31.
Sorry Buddy, seam like Intuit does not care, they have our money already. Almost a month now, My office one employee use to do 15-20 returns per day, now I am look to get 8-10.
Yeah I'm losing my mind - my productivity has been chopped by 60% due to this. Guess who pays for that?
3GB fix is out.... seems to work
Downloading now - hoping this will get us back on track!
