Bank error 109 means that your password has expired or needs to be updated with your bank’s website. Here’s how to update your password on your bank’s website and sign-in info in QuickBooks Online:

Update your password on your bank's website, then update your sign-in info in QuickBooks Online.

  1. Sign in to your bank's website and update your password.
  2. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  3. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  4. Select the blue bank square for the account you want to update.
  5. Select the Edit ✎ icon in the tile for the bank account you want to update. Then select Edit sign in info.
  6. Enter your updated login info in the Username and Password fields.
  7. Select Save and connect.
