The QuickBooks Enterprise with Cloud Access is a good initiative.

I will like to know more about this package. like:

1- The total cost ( cost of acquisition and hosting )

2- Other than remote access, what other advantage is there, compared to the desktop enterprise.

3- And any other information there is.

Hi E A Johnson, thanks for posting on the Community

Following the discontinuation in June 2023, we no longer offer QuickBooks Desktop products in the UK. Are you enquiring about a US QuickBooks Enterprise product?

Yes GeorgiaC. The US QuickBooks product (Desktop version) is what most of us in Nigeria are functional with.

And QuickBooks recently posted a new package of the Enterprise plan that can be access from anywhere.

That's an upgrade and i will like to have more details on it.

@E A Johnson

If you need to use QB Desktop US version with hosting, you may have 4 options:

1.QB Desktop 2024 US Premier Plus for 5 users + an authorized hosting provider

2.QB Desktop 2024 US Accountant Plus for 10 users + an authorized hosting provider

3. QB Desktop Enterprise Silver - Online editon (hosted by Rightworks)

4. QB Desktop Enterprise Silver + an authorized hosting provider

If you are not located in US or Canada, you can purchase the license via @Fiat Lux - ASIA and you can pay them with wire. You don't need to use credit card.

QuickBooks Enterprise with Cloud Access is basically QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise plus a hosted Windows environment so you can run the desktop app from anywhere (instead of being tied to one office PC/server).

1) Total cost (software + hosting)

There isn’t one fixed price. It depends on:

  • Enterprise tier (Gold/Platinum/Diamond)

  • number of users

  • payroll/add-ons

  • hosting/storage needs

In most cases, it’s an Enterprise subscription + a per-user hosting cost (often billed monthly). The fastest way to get the real number is to quote it for your tier + user count.

2) Advantages beyond remote access

Compared to running Enterprise only on a local desktop/server, you usually get:

  • Centralized access for your team (work from anywhere, same setup)

  • Backups handled in the hosted environment (less “did someone back it up?” risk)

  • Less IT overhead (no local server maintenance, patching headaches, etc.)

  • Better continuity if the office PC dies or someone’s laptop gets stolen

3) Other helpful notes

  • You’re still using Desktop Enterprise, not QuickBooks Online.

  • Your experience depends on internet stability.

  • Confirm any integrations you use (bank feeds, add-ons, scanners, etc.) work in the hosted setup.

If you tell me your user count and tier, I can help you estimate the typical cost range and what to watch for.
