Can the Director leave the payroll but not leave the directorship? Is it possible?

    Hey,

You can issue a P45 for the director, that is correct.

They can remain a director of the company and not remain on the payroll.

    Thanks.

    Hey MD15,

You can mark a Director of the business as a leaver on your payroll. This will have no affect of the Directorship.

Within the payroll it is only needed to be noted as being a director often affects the National Insurance deductions.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

Thank you James for the reply.

One more quick question, so I can then issue P45 for the director?

    TIA.
