I'm trying to verify data and it's detecting an error. I tried to rebuild the data and reverify the data and still says it's corrupted. I'm trying to export my data to windows platform after the data is corrected.

January 12, 2021

Thanks for joining in this thread, @c3087. I can help you fix the errors.

When there are corrupted data, we can recover all or nearly all of your data with the use of QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery (ADR) tool. Please note that the process can take some time.

ADR can help you recover your lost file by:

  • restoring lost transactions using your current Transaction Log file and a copy of your Company file.
  • restoring all but the last few hours of transactions with a copy of both your Company file and your Transaction Log file.

Here's an article with more detailed steps on recovering lost data: Recover lost data with QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery

For future reference, read through this article: Export, import, and edit IIF files. It'll help you learn about moving data to and from QuickBooks Desktop.

Looking forward to helping you again if you need further assistance. Take care.

During installation QB 2019  I am getting Error 1723

What should I do ?

March 31, 2019

Hello SvetlanaNY,

Error 1723 means that there is a problem with the Windows installer package. This may be caused by a damaged Windows installer. To fix this, perform the solutions in the order shown.

Solution 1: Edit the permissions in your Windows %temp% folder

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows key to bring up the search field.
  2. Type %temp%, then press Enter. The Windows TEMP folder opens.
  3. Open Properties.
    • For Windows 10, 8.1, and 8: Go to the Home tab, then select Properties.
    • For Windows 7: From the Organize drop-down, select Properties.
  4. On the Properties window, go to the Security tab, then choose Edit.
  5. Highlight your Windows username. Under the Allow column, put a check mark on Full Control.
  6. Select OK twice, then reinstall QuickBooks Desktop.

Solution 2: Download and run the QBInstall Diagnostic Tool

Let us know if you have any questions.

I can see how important it is to access your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) software and continue with your business, @dgkgfs.

QuickBooks recently release an update requiring users to update their software before logging in. This is to ensure your program is pack with the latest patches and fixes and to avoid any issues in the future.

If you don’t want to install these updates yet, you‘ll want to rename the folder of your QBDT downloaded file. You can follow this setup for a temporary workaround: "C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 21.0\Components\DownloadQB31"

Once you're done with your work, I recommend updating the software before logging off to your computer. This way, it’ll not prompt you to update it the next time you log in.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Go to the Update Now tab.
  4. Select Get Updates to start the download.
  5. Restart QuickBooks when the download finishes.
  6. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release

You can also read through this article for more details: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

Once finish, don’t forget to download the latest payroll updates too. This way, we can ensure your tax table sync with the new update.

In case you have other queries or questions in supervising your account, feel free to fill me in. I’ll be around to assist you. Keep safe and happy holidays!

Hi @mandypanad,

I'll share some steps you can take to resolve this issue where you're unable to open your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file.

Here's how:

  1. Update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest version.
  2. Ensure the extension of the file you want to open is QBW.

See this article to proceed with the troubleshooting: What to do if you can't open your company file in QuickBooks Desktop. Scroll down to the Step 3: Figure out what's causing the issue section to continue.

I suggest you see this article: Fix locked file errors in QuickBooks Desktop. It's a list of steps you can take if your company file is locked.

Post a reply if you need further assistance, and I'll be sure to get back to you.

When I am working in my program I often get a lockup where the whole program seizes and rather than the normal cursor a whirling ball of kind of rainbow colors takes over. I can do nothing but do a hard restart to get it away. I asked for help some months ago and a tech told me to to to rebuild data and then verify data. I’ve tried that numerous times but I keep getting the same issues b

Thanks for posting in the Community space, @Alyhuz.

I appreciate you performing the steps shared by our Tech Team. Since you already tried the steps and still having the same issue. Let's repair your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Repairing QuickBooks can help fix common errors you encounter while using, updating, or installing QBDT.

Here's how to run the repair tool:

  1. First, back up your company file.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Click the Windows icon and type in Control Panel.
  4. Choose Programs and Features then Uninstall a Program.
  5. Select QuickBooks and click Uninstall/Change.
  6. Click Continue, or Next.
  7. Select Repair and Next.
  8. Hit Finish.

Once done, make sure that you have the most recent fixes and security updates. You'll need to update your QuickBooks to the latest release. If you got an error while repairing your QBDT, please refer to this article: Repair QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

Also, QuickBooks' performance decreases as the size of the company file increases. However, there are no actual limits on the size of your company data file, but performance may be hindered if your network is not capable of handling large data files.

Moreover, to give you tips on the system requirements that work best with QuickBooks Desktop, I suggest checking out this reference: Find out what your computer needs to run the best QuickBooks Desktop experience.

Keep me posted if you have any other questions. I'll make sure to get back to you. Take good care!

You're in the right place for help, and I'm here to give you quick tips to see the correct product number, @Kjartved.

When you want to get the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) license number and product code, you can press F2 on your keyboard while the QuickBooks Desktop window is running.

Another way is to visit the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS) to get your product and license number from there as long as you registered the product.

Also, if you purchased QuickBooks in a physical retail store, the license and product code number will be listed on the packaging.

Take a look at the scratch-off sticker located next to the UPC code. Here's how it looks like:

However, if you're unable to find it using the options given above, you can contact our Support Team for it.
