When I create an estimate with material and labor, when I go to e mail it in the preview it only shows the total amount so the customer can't see the breakdown, how do I fix this?

Let's make sure estimates breakdown show on your email, Denisplpro.

Sometimes, you may encounter possible data issues in QuickBooks Desktop. You'll want to use the Repair Data tool to fix it. But before that, make sure to update QuickBooks to the latest release. Once done, here's how to repair your company file:

  1. Go to the File menu, then hover over Utilities and select Rebuild Data.
  2. On the QuickBooks Information window, select OK. Follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.
  3. Let the tool repair your file. It may take some time. QuickBooks may seem stuck, but as long as you can move your mouse, the tool is working.
  4. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  5. Go to the File menu. Then hover over Utilities and select Verify Data.
  6. Let the tool check your file for data issues.

0 errors in the data rebuild, still having the same issue.  Not sure if there is a setting that needs to be turned on or off?

Thank you!

Hello there, @Denisplpro.

I want to ensure your customer can see the breakdown of the estimate you've emailed to them. To do so, let's verify if the Screen and Print boxes under the Footer section are checked.

Here's how:

  1. On your QuickBooks Desktop account, go to Lists.
  2. Select Templates.
  3. Locate and click your estimate template to open.
  4. In the Basic Customization window, click the Additional Customization button.
  5. Select the Footer tab.
  6. Put a checkmark on the Screen and Print check boxes for the breakdown you want to show.
  7. Click OK to save your customization.
