Sync with Etsy

I have QBO and use the Sync with Etsy App; however, the app has not imported any new transactions since 12/31/21. Any transactions I've received so far in 2022 have not synced. Normally, syncing is fairly current and I haven't seen a delay like this before. I'm not sure what to do to get the imports.

Good day, nm520!

We can manually sync the transactions from Etsy. I'm here to help you.

There's an option to manually bring in the transactions. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Apps menu and select the My Apps tab.
  2. Find Sync with Etsy from the list, then click the drop-down and select Settings.
  3. On top of your Manage tab, click Sync Now.

I also added these links if you need more help in managing your QuickBooks Online and Etsy integration:

Shoot me a reply if you need more help with this. Take care!

Hi AlexV,

I did that earlier today and have revisited my QBO and noticed the only transactions coming in are expenses and not sales. The way the transactions displayed are different as well.

Etsy adjusted some of the ways they report sales and fees to sellers on their site on 1/1/22, and I’m wondering if that has something to do with it and the coding of the app?

Allow me to share some information on how Sync with Etsy App works in QuickBooks Online, nm520.

When using the Sync with Etsy app QuickBooks creates accounts to your company. This is to ensure that the system knows where to deposit your sales and Etsy charges for your seller fees.

Etsy is a third-party app that allows you to sync your data to QuickBooks Online. Any information entered in Etsy aren't automatically created in QuickBooks Online. Based on the FAQs from their website, it'll take 1 hour to 24 hours to complete the setup. If you've got issues with Etsy, you'll need to reach out to their support team.

For your reference: you can scan through this article: Import transactions from your Etsy shop into QuickBooks Online. This will give you in-depth details on how your transactions are imported in QuickBooks as well as tips in reconciling your Etsy account.

Additionally, in case you see duplicate transactions, you can follow the steps in this article to make adjustments: Make adjustments when you import past Etsy transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns. I'll be here to guide you in the right direction. You can always reach out to the Community or me anytime you find you need assistance. Take care and have a good one!

I am having the same exact issue. Nothing is syncing past 12/31/21 when it was working perfectly fine the past 2 months. My register shows zero activity for January, and I have had multiple sales this month so far. It seems to be some issue with the new year.... please fix ASAP!

Thank you for joining the thread, @Kitsune Creations. I’ll help you with syncing data from Etsy into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

This issue with Etsy has been fixed. If the issue persists on your end, I recommend contacting Etsy's customer support team. They can guide you through it and provide real-time assistance.

You can check out their contact details from their designated website.

On the other hand, you can perform some basic browser troubleshooting steps to help isolate the issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift +N

If it works, kindly proceed with clearing your cache. This helps improve the performance of the application.

You can also refer to this article for other supported browsers while using QBO.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you need further assistance with your Etsy integration with QBO. Have a great day!

It's because Etsy changed how their transactions are posted to separate everything out.

They are working on it.
