How to close the books

Dear,

 

Your instructions to close books as follows:

    1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.

    2. Under Your Company, choose Account and Settings (or Company Settings).

    3. From the left menu, select Advanced.

    4. In the Accounting section, select the pencil (edit) icon to open the fields for editing.

    5. Select the Close the books checkbox.
    6. Enter a Closing Date.
      Transactions dated on or before this date cannot be changed without warning.
    7. Select either Allow changes after viewing a warning or Allow changes after viewing a warning and entering a password from the drop-down list to specify how to manage attempts to save transactions dated prior to the closing date.
      If you select Allow changes after viewing a warning and entering a password, the password fields appear.
    8. Enter a closing date password in the Password and Confirm Password fields.
    9. Select Save.

    10. Select Done.

However, in step 5: I can't see any checkbox to click. Kindly see the attachment for your reference.

 

Please advise solution for this case.

How to close the books

Thanks for the detailed information, tranthaiha1983. 

 

Let's make sure that you are logged in as a Master or Company administrator for you to have the option to close the books. 

 

If you are the Master admin and you get the same thing, it's possible that piled-up cache are causing your browser not to function well. We can do a few browser troubleshooting steps to fix this unusual behavior. 

 

Here's how: 

  1. Let's log in and close your books through a private browser since it doesn't store any cache files. 
  2. If you were able to close using the private browser, we can clear your regular browser's cache. 
  3. You can also use other browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
