CSV date errors happen when your date format conflicts with how it is mapped in QuickBooks Online. To resolve this, edit your file to match QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Open the CSV file in Excel or Google Sheets.
  2. Ensure every entry in the Date column uses the same format, such as D/M/YYYY or M/D/YYYY.
  3. Remove any days of the week from the dates. For example, change 20/11/2025 TUE to 20/11/2025.
  4. Review the file, then Save it.

When reuploading the file, make sure the Date format dropdown in QuickBooks exactly matches the date style used in your CSV.
