Want to keep your cash flowing smoothly and avoid financial hiccups? Understanding the difference between a budget and a forecast is the secret to planning for a successful business future. While they may seem similar, each tool plays a unique role in helping you navigate your financial journey. Key differences between a budget and a forecast: The Budget is your rulebook: It sets static financial goals for the year and tracks your planned spending. • The Forecast is your GPS: It is a dynamic prediction based on real-time data that tracks predicted outcomes, including best-case and worst-case scenarios. • Adjustment frequency: A budget stays put for the year, while a forecast should be updated constantly to reflect current market reality. • The success formula: For long-term success, you should regularly compare your budget, your forecast, and your actual results. When running certified payroll we now get the error "Visual basics error with hidden module cpinterview". I've already been on the phone with quickbooks support who after an exhaustive session directed me to microsoft. Microsoft did the same directing me to quickbooks. I've posted a help topic on microsoft and they too point me to quickbooks support. At this point we are no longer able to run certified payroll at all and are nearly a week behind. With the upcoming launch of the automated payroll tax payments, has there been any updates to the workflow to file the payroll taxes for the local and state payroll tax entities that do not accept filings and payments from QuickBooks Online? For example, I reached out to Washington LNI and Workers Comp will still have to be paid and filed outside of QuickBooks. Can we have the ability to turn off automated payroll tax payments to certain entities via Checkbox in the payroll settings as this will reduce duplicating work that will have continue to be completed manually? Also, are there any updates to remove states no longer an active part of business locations? These inactive locations stay active in payroll settings and should be made inactive once the last filings have been completed pertaining to prior employees. I find that QuickBooks continues to charge for inactive states, including filing tax forms that are not to be filed. Removing inactive states with a check box or update to the

MN Paid Leave set up on Desktop QB. I am unable to edit the percentages in the Payroll Item List, which are incorrect. .88% showed up for employer and employee. S/B .66% for employer and .44% for employee. I am, however, able to enter the correct percentages from within the Employee Center set up for each employee, State taxes, Other. So, the correct amount is being withheld from their checks. But, why can I not edit the Payroll Item percentage amount? Also, why is there no payroll liability showing up for this withholding in Payroll Center? I paid it online, but it should be showing up as a quarterly reminder in the payroll liability section of Payroll Center.
After recently reconciling our books, we found a payment that was "disputed". For what ever reason, the payment was made and never received by our bank. This left the account appearing to be paid with zero balance since QB recognized the payment and applied it to the invoice. The only way that we found it was when we saw a QBO payment still sitting in the deposit folder after a couple months. My questions is: Is there a way to get notified when something is "disputed"? We literally had to click on the payment details page to see that it was "disputed". It would of been caught quicker if we reconciled more often but up to this point, we had no clue this was "disputed". Is there a report that we can print that shows all online payments and the final result? Also, how is this handled? Just delete the payment and have the customer pay the invoice again? They have been notified and they do not know what happened either.
Every time after I open quickbooks desktop pro 2018 it says Your current session will expire in X days. For uninterrupted access to intuit account, sign in now. Except I can't sign in. Initially there's a spinning circle in the right side but then it goes away and its just a blank white page. It also says you'll need to update your software to access your Intuit account here. I already downloaded and installed the webpatch and it makes no difference. This makes qb unuseable since the only way to close the window is to use task manager and the closes quickbooks. Whats the solution?
I can not find my invoice name sandy
Quickbooks Desktop will not let me enter a new credit card number in the "Manage Your Quickbooks Account" tap under the help tab. The customer service gibberish-speaker wants me to give her my new cards info. The reason I have a new card is the the old number was stolen. I do not want to give some rando my new card number,
I've done a Google search and only found limited info and most is on moving from Desktop to Online or Desktop to Ledger. Can someone provide a link to a video tutorial or the steps to move a client from ONLINE QBO to the new product Ledger? I already know the limitations of Ledger. We have many clients that have very basic books that would work best with this new product and do not need the extra features they are currently paying for. Most of our clients are setup on their own USER account and not through our Accountant Account. We have a few that are signed up through our Accountants Account so if there is a different way to transfer those, please advise on that as well. Thanks
Do you have any problems when people pay with Apple Pay? There are confirmation emails, but no money in my account.
Two employees in our organization are not able to access paystubs through Intuit Employee Workforce. When they are sent the Invite from Payroll Cloud Services they go through the process of setting up, but are stuck in a loop with the error "Looks like you don't have Workforce. There's no account attached to the email you entered. Contact your employer to create one for you."Both employees have used Intuit Workforce with previous employers and had not issue. We tried setting them up with a different email address... but they get the same error.I am unsure if I am missing a step that is causing an issue... but I haven't had an problem with getting other employees set up.We have Quickbooks Desktop. Is there anyone that can give me some advice?
Several times in the past week I've logged in as admin to QB Desktop Pro 2021, and I get the pop-up saying "You haven't logged in to your Intuit account for 89 days." It's annoying enough to have this useless message every 89 days (since there's absolutely no value in signing in), but at least stop presenting it every two or three days.
The quickbooks COM add-in is currently not supported in the new Outlook for Windows as it only supports web add-ins. Please contact Quickbooks support for more information
I have been using Quickbboks Desktop Pro 2017 and have recently bought a new laptop. When installing Quickbboks on my new laptop from my original CD it comes up with a warning bar that says ' You have reached the maximum number of unregistered users, you must register now'. When I click on the "register now" button, it takes me to the "activate quickbooks now" page, but when i click "activate now" it says "navigation to the webpage was cancelled". If I go to "Help", "renew my licencce by phone", it requires an activation code. How do I go about getting that activation code.
Someone isn't signing their code properly. I just downloaded this update for Quickbooks Premier Plus 2024 and windows 11 won't let the update happen. It saying "Can't confirm publisher" on the QB2024_Core_R19R20_msp.dat file and deleting/blocking it the instant the updater downloads it. I've run the Tool hub program and have Clicked / installed the defender exceptions button. So someone needs to check their code signing.
I have a payment on hold but no email and nothing showing in the resolution center. What do I need to do?

Has anyone had luck uploading your QB report to the new Mi Unemp site?
Hi We upgraded from Desktop to online version back in Feb. We run our payroll in Bright Pay and are trying to integrate, thus bring the payroll journal across. When I try to create the journal, a asked to login into QBks which it does but then I get a QBK screen asking which payroll I want to select but it wont let me choose and defaults to Advance payroll, I am told by support this is because we once subscribed to use Qbks own payroll therefore this seems to be hangover from 2016 when we were going to try QBks own payroll, which we then decided not to use. Has anyone else had this problem or can someone tell me how to get rid of the Advanced Payroll tag withing QBks.
