You can use Screen share with QuickBooks support experts to get help with issues, guidance, or migrations. This feature lets an expert view your QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Online Accountant session while you work in your desktop browser.
What is Screen share
Screen sharing is a tool that helps experts provide real-time assistance by viewing your active QuickBooks interface. It offers enhanced privacy because experts can only see your QuickBooks session. They can't view your desktop, other browser tabs, or other applications you have open. Experts can use annotation tools to guide you and use Remote Assist to scroll on your behalf.
How do I share my screen?
If you are working with an expert and need to share your QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Online Accountant screen, follow these steps:
- Select the Gear Icon âš™ in QuickBooks .
- Select Share screen under Tools.
- Note: You can also use keyboard shortcuts: Shift + Enter (Windows) or Command + Shift + Return (Mac).
- Read the disclaimer and select Share to give your consent.
- If you don't want to share, select Not now.
- Provide the unique code shown on your screen to your support expert so they can join the session.
Once the expert enters the code, they will only be able to see your QuickBooks interface within your browser.
How do I end a session?
You have full control over the session and can stop it at any time.
- Once your issue is resolved, select Stop share.
- Select Stop screen share to confirm.
If you continue to have issues after the session ends, you can reconnect or contact support again.
