Recently reinstalled quick books pro 2015 and now it’s asking me to register quickbooks with a validation code. I have my license number and product number but I cannot get through to quick books to get the code

It was a ridiculously cheap Black Friday Deal so perhaps Intuit have only given me a demo version but it is difficult to say. Anyway I would like to crete my own chart of accounts but that does not seem possible from the options i see on screen. The AI assistant keeps answering the wrong questions with links to "deeplink" that don't work!

Winding up the company and the old bank accoount is no longer connected to quickbooks but I need to mark some invoices as paid.

The feed brings in the details on the full details description, but there are a lot of cards and I can't remember who is who! So it would be easier if I could just pull in transactions for card ending 1234 for example, separately to card ending 5678. I can then set the name of that account to the name of the person who holds it. But they all fall under the one credit card account number.

Got QB to do my own VAT, accountant done them up to last submission. QB saying can not connect to HMRC but has also come up with nil returns for earlier this year? dont need to do anything with these as already submitted but there is an error showing, could this be why/, the date in VAT settings keep defaulting t a date last year when we presume this needs to be date of registration which is 1973. No idea where we are going wrong?

I have difficulty accessing the Community - and Help & Support could not provide the answer.To access your own posts (and any replies), it is necessary to click on the "two-people" icon at top right of the Community Home Page (after signing in).This gives access to "My profile" and "Notifications".I use Chrome, where this icon does not appear. I even tried Chrome Incognito - still no help.Next, I tried Opera, with the same result.Lastly I tried Microsoft Edge, and, hey presto, the icon appears and I can access my posts.I don't like "Edge" - can anyone explain why this happens?

After testing the updated GUI, I've found it significantly more cumbersome to access the pages I use most frequently. The bookmarks feature, which was previously streamlined and efficient, now requires an extra click to access and additional scrolling to locate specific items. This introduces unnecessary friction in my daily workflow.As illustrated in the attached screenshot, the current bookmarked menu excels in usability: it places all essential options front and centre, enabling one-click access without any hunting. By layering in more mouse movements and scrolling, the new design undermines this efficiency, it's a clear regression that slows productivity in ways that feel counterintuitive.To address this, I recommend allowing users to customise the new "Apps" menu. Specifically, enable options to hide non-bookmarked pages, effectively replicating the clean, personalised view of the existing bookmarks interface. This simple edit would restore usability while preserving the benefits

I run two holiday cottages in the UK, and need to report on specific categories to qualify for business rates via a government VOA 6048 form.  I was unable to find out how to do this myself, so visited my accountant and asked her to add the  transaction categories for me, which she did using (presumably) a more complex version of QB.  They do not appear on my Online version.  Do I need to upgrade? (I recently upgraded from Sole Trader.)
