Reports and accounting

Hi there! We just switched over to QB Online and I am trying to run a report that will show me how much vacation and sick time were both accrued and used by all employees per paycheck. The desktop version had a perfect report and I can’t find anything like that in the Online version. The closest thing I have found is the Payroll detail but I have to scroll through every employee and it would be easy to miss. This also just shows me how much anyone used, not how much they have accrued.

When I add petrol into sole trader, it seems to keep it separate from my other outgoings, its states that it needs to be approved?  which means my monthly outgoings are wrong?  how do I change this or get it approved?  Also it doesnt let me change the amount from 0.45pm to the new 0.55pm, any ideas how to change this also. Thanks all Mary Jane

Need some help making a payroll summary report that includes both the total amount each employee was paid as well as their hourly wage. Ideally the report would include the paycheck date, employee name, Job title, hourly, and total paid. It would also have to include all employees paid on that date.

Hi, In 2025 we issued an invoice with item A.Now we realize the item A was no correct and even thow the sent item was the correct one B, both in the invoice and the inventory it reads "A" as sent.The year 2025 was duly close, so I cannot correct the item. If I carry out an inventory quantity adjustment, the invoice will still be wrong. How can I solve it? Thanks in advance! AM

I have had a report:  Transaction list by Customer: Filter = Transaction type does not equal Time Charge : All Dates This report has worked for the past few years, I ran this report today and new unbilled transactions are not showing on the report.  When I open a new invoice for customer X there are 4 new expense billing items pending invoicing but these items are not listed on my unbilled equipment report.

I am needing to switch over employees in my QB to contractors. I have already terminated all the required employees, modified their names and changed the email addresses on file, using the exact same naming and email conventions. Ex. John Smith, has been changed to J. Smith. Email profile has been swapped from [email address removed] to [email address removed]. In attempting to proceed to set them up as contractors, I am receiving the below error:'This email is already in use for an existing user. Please provide a different email for this contractor to complete their profile.' Strangely enough, I only received the above error for 2 of the former employees. The invite link was successfully sent to the 3rd, even though I have used the exact same process and naming conventions. I need a resolution to this that does not require setting up new email addresses for these individuals. That is not an option.

Hello, I am facing a problem relating to the management of BOMs or assemblies in QuickBooks Deskop.We are a car manufacturer and we therefore have many different assemblies with several levels (up to 6 levels).I would like to extract the detailed BOM for a car with details of each level which would allow me to extract the complete list of all the parts making up the carFor example :The assembly number of my car is: "CAR 1".This assembly is made up of 3 sub-assemblies:- GROUP 1 - Chassis- GROUP 2 - Engine- GROUP 3 - BodyworkEach of these 3 sub-groups is made up of sub-sub-groups of assemblies, for example in the 1st sub-group "GROUP 1 - Chassis":- Fitted frame (assembly made up of 10 child parts, for example) In this way, we have up to 6 levels of sub-groups, each made up of assemblies and child parts.I would therefore like to be able to extract the complete and detailed assembly of the car comprising the 6 levels of detailed parts.To date I have not found any solution to do t

I was able to see the tools yesterday. Now they do not show up. In addition, when I try to navigate to the page I was on yesterday (https://qbo.intuit.com/app/booksreview), I get nothing but the 4 spinning dots. The page never loads.

I can see that you can manually share custom reports with other users. We put all of those together in a management report that we would everyone to be able to generate upon need, without having to ask the person who created it. Is this doable? I repeat I'm not talking about sharing the report output, I mean the possibility to generate the custom management report as it's been set

Recently my a/r againg summary is including inactive customers.  according to QB help the only way to only have active customers on this list is to hand pick from names under the customize filters.  Is this correct?  I thought there was a customize option to pick active, inactive or all..

So I have a product that shows a unit cost of $2.49 but it should be $5.02. So let's say we have 600 items at $2.49 with an inventory value of $1,494.00. It should be 600 items at $5.02 for an inventory value of $3,012.00. I thought to correct this I would need to remove my inventory to 0, go in and change the unit cost to $5.02 and the adjust the quantity back to 600 but when I do the inventory value report still shows $2.49. I don't want to adjust the starting value just the current value. Is there another way to do this?

I inherited a QuickBooks Online where bank feeds were disconnected last year and immediately reconnected. Instead of reconnecting to the existing bank accounts, it appears that new bank accounts were created and historical transactions were imported going back to January 2024. As a result, there are now active bank accounts and inactive/deleted bank accounts representing the same real-world bank accounts for Jan 2024 to mid-year 2025. The deleted accounts still contain historical activity and balances. The active accounts also contain historical activity. The balances are not exact duplicates, which makes me think the transaction history may have been split between the old and new account structures rather than simply duplicated. QuickBooks later created several transactions labeled “Created by QB Online to adjust balance for deletion” and posted the offsets to Opening Balance Equity in order to zero the deleted accounts. I have already adjusted the active bank accounts so they match t

I need a report that will show sales transactions for the previous month, including item, service provided and service date (in addition to the invoice date).   I want to check at months end that invoices were dated correctly (we back date our invoice to match when services occur).  I found a previous post here that said the Sales by Customer Detail report could be customized to show the service date, but it is not an available option.  Only  invoice date, ship date, deliv date and due date show up as items that can be selected.Thanks!

I am looking to be able to create the P&L Budget Performance Report in QBO and it does not exist.  However, it does exist in QB Desktop.  Any ideas as to why it is not an option in Online and how to get Quickbooks to make it available?  Thanks in advance!

Hello - We have about 200 reports in our memorized report list and I believe that we can probably remove at least half of them.  How can I run a report that will show this list and the last time the report was generated?  Thanks.

What report in QB shows charges QB makes to my bank account?

Trying to create a management report. Have already added both standard & custom financial statements. However, unable to select/add the following reports that both appear in the list of custom reports & have been confirmed to be 'shared All'1) custom transaction report2) budget vs actual report Have tried adding both via the 'financial statements' section plus adding a new section, but no luck.Suggestions?
