I have an issue with a VAT return in QuickBooks. A nil VAT return was filed in QuickBooks for the period January to June, but the client was not VAT registered during that period, so the return does not appear in HMRC. The client’s VAT registration became effective in July. However, the nil return recorded in QuickBooks is causing the pre-registration VAT claims to be treated as late claims, rather than being included in the first VAT return. How can I remove or correct the incorrect VAT return in QuickBooks to ensure the pre-registration VAT claims are included correctly in the first VAT return?

I needed to create a new invoice based on todays date but with what the customer had previously. So loaded up an old invoice, pressed duplicate, amended the quantities and changed the invoice number. Forgot to change the date…. Realising my mistake I went to change the date and got this: Any transactions in a VAT period marked as filed can’t be changed on the Flat Rate Scheme Now I’d understand that if the VAT period hadn’t already been filed and locked, so why can’t I change that? Shouldn’t it have least warned me about the date considering the that vat period was locked? What Issues will it cause me? Just seems so damned stupid.

The logo has disappeared from my invoices in the last 3 months. It was there in June but now no longer exists, and it wont let me upload a new one. I’ve tried PNG, JPG, the logo is square RGB and its under 1MB

I'm uploading receipts and when I try to upload a rail ticket it rejects it as an invalid document. Why does the Receipts area reject documents that were OK under the previous version of QB?

Good Day All:I keep getting a pop up saying my subscription must be renewed. Dire things will happen if I don’t pay it. But it’s been paid. Also, I tried to check and see if I had an outstanding balance, and all the thing does is spin. Finally, I have my own desktop QuickBooks at home and want my name on it. The boss has hers and her name should be on it. That’s the one with the subscription. So, I saw a tab that says, Want to change the name? And I clicked  on it - and it brought me here. Then, while updating my address, the thing simply shut down on me. Not a good day for me in QB land. Any ideas? And I thank you for your thoughts.

I u derstand I need to post transaction going forward but want to clear the old ones showing pending. Transa tions of expenses and income go back over a year and I have 260 pending showing.

After trying QBO some 14 years ago, and suggesting how important this feature is. Intuit has now finally added a pretty basic function (this was always in the Desktop version) which helps massively with stock control......We now have Item Receipt.   Rejoice.

I have a transaction on my bank statement of for example 4,240.23. There is a paid Bill of 240.23 and $4,000 a transfer to another bank. How do I split and match this transaction?

It would be helpful if on the front screen you could see which accounts need reconnecting. I receive an email saying the bank will need reconnecting soon, but it doesn't say which client! Not very useful!

The screen on my iPhone freezes when trying to reconcile payments on the transaction screen. Have to restart the app to get back. Seems to work otherwise.Many thanks.

 For the past 2 weeks, only on the iOS app, the bank transactions page freezes when you try to scroll or click. Done all of the troubleshooting suggested on another thread, including refreshing data, reinstalling app, offloading data etc
