I have recurring invoices set to go out to 140 people each month for membership dues. I want them to be able to pay by bank transfer, HOWEVER I don’t want them to be set up on autopay because I don’t want to have to chase down bounced payments. I’d prefer them to authorize payment each month, so if it doesn’t go through they see it right then and there. Also, if they cancel their membership I don’t have to issue refunds. I don’t need more work to deal with. I already have 140 invoices each month to deal with. From what I’ve seen, the only way to disable autopay is to disable the payment method entirely. Surely this can’t be the case? How can I disable autopay on customer facing invoices?
Two weeks ago, my customers started receiving emails after they open an invoice reminding them that they did not pay. I contacted Quickbooks, and as usual they were first completely confused by a feature in their own software and took them a week to get back to me. When they did, they stated this is a new feature and there is no option to turn it on or off. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn these emails off? Or is there a way to edit these emails as they are completely unprofessional? This is not a reminder email. I have those set and have zero issues. This is appears to be a new feature rolled out with the typical zero thought Quickbooks gives to features.
Seeking some way to import an estimate -- typically an Excel or comma-delimited file -- directly into QB (preferably Online) such that it is recognized as an estimate (whether mapped manually or automatically). Based on cursory web searches and perusing this forum, it appears that the only way to import anything -- estimate or otherwise -- into the transactions database is as an .iif.Further, based on the existence of many plugins that claim to offer interoperability with Excel, my current best guess is that such a transmittal would entail a somewhat involved conversion process. Seeking confirmation or advice either way. Thanks.
We recently sold an item through our eBay store and they sent us a payout for the sale to our bank account. However, when the customer returned the item and we refunded them, eBay charged our company credit card instead of pulled the funds from the original bank. I’ve contacted eBay to see if this can be reversed, but it’s too late unfortunately. At this point, I’m not sure how to handle this in Quickbooks, especially since I now have a transaction hanging out in the bank deposit screen for the refund. I’m assuming I can create a journal entry at least for part of this. The complex part is that we also withheld funds for the shipping costs to the customer.
My CSV file looks like exactly like the manual entry created last month. Account name is required for some of those because some go into AR due from Partnership account and account name is the only thing that distinguishes it. But for others, account name is empty. I am not sure what to fill it up. Thanks
Hey guys, just an office manager here of a small business that needs all the help I can get! a little backstory, I started with this company Aug 31st and they had just moved to QBO from desktop. As a result of that, someone had set up our account that the owner had hired, and I was tasked with entering all data from 2026- invoices, expense receipts, payments- the entire 2026 backlog up to that point. As you can imagine it took a couple of weeks, and some things are still being found and added. I reconciled each month based on the bank statements, or so I believed they were all reconciled. I have used QBO in other offices previously. I was attempting to reconcile September when I saw that the beg balance was roughly 136k dollars off. It took two days of tracing transactions, but I am glad to say that the bulk of it is handled- that being said, I got down to 715 and some change yesterday being the only amount of difference- most of it coming from matching/attaching I had done incorrectly
I entered the amount of the credit in the upper portion of the bill. Then when I did the account breakdown, I added the information form the invoice. The lower portion equalled the upper portion but when I tried to save it, I got the message that the bill was not in balance. I double checked the adding forward and backward and it is indeed balanced. However, the program will not let me move on because it will not save the credit bill. Please help.
My payroll subscription is showing as inactive in my QB desktop. I’ve logged into QB and confirmed that everything is in fact active. I’ve downloaded payroll updates so everything should be up to date. QB chat has been no help. I can’t seem to connect with anyone.
Anyone else had the problem where bank transactions are not showing? I have the last in March 26 and then restarts 23/6/26
My Paypal account is in different GMT time zone.
QuickBooks Online lets you control payment reminder emails through Automatic Invoice Reminders in Account and Settings, where you can turn reminders on or off and set exactly when they go out. You can also send a reminder manually for a single invoice without touching your automatic settings at all. Getting these controls right means your follow-ups stay professional and on your schedule, not a surprise to you or your customer. Why payment reminder emails need a closer lookWhen you send an invoice, you're trusting QuickBooks to represent your business well if a follow-up email goes out. A reminder that goes out too soon, or with the wrong tone, can make a customer feel chased before they're even late. This guide covers how QuickBooks Online reminder emails actually work, how to turn them on or off, how to customize what they say, and how to send a one-off reminder when automation isn't the right move. What counts as a "payment reminder email" in QuickBooks Online?A payment reminder is an

I use QB yearly to do return, run reports and bank reconciliation. I cant find. Where do I look to find
Could someone explain why every single time QB does an update there are things that quit working? I’ve been sending invoices and copying me to the same customers forever. Now QB Online won’t send them. I tried a different email, cleared the cache. Restarted everything. No luck. This after just trying to resolve and issue with vendor messages not showing up. Doesn’t anyone test these updates before they are released?

When trying to add a User, when you go to explore file and properties, share and then when you try to add the “people” to share with, I keep getting a message that says Windows was unable to find “so and so” (the computer) that I am looking for. I have checked the name of the computer and it is correct. Is there a different way to add? We are using Enterprise 24 Desktop. Thank you in advance for any help.
I have a bug report to send in, but I can’t find the option to send it through my Quickbooks Desktop on my MacBook. Here’s the details: Product Information:OS Platform: macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 Application: QuickBooks Desktop for Mac (on the most recent update) Email Connection Protocol: Integrated Gmail Account (OAuth / Enhanced Security) Issue Summary:There is a critical user-interface memory-caching bug within the "Email Forms" workspace. When attempting to batch-send multiple invoices simultaneously using the integrated Gmail OAuth connection, QuickBooks Mac fails to parse or pass the Customer Email string variable to the outbound transmission queue. This results in an immediate connection failure ("There were one or more problems sending forms to your email provider") and subsequently strips/wipes the email addresses entirely from the affected transaction lines in the batch list. Steps to Reproduce:Generate multiple customer invoices and flag them all for "Email Later". Ensure every cus
Since the new UI “Recurring transactions - reminders” have been almost removed from the system. You can still create the reminder You can ‘use’ them - but the last used date does not update There is no longer an option to ‘Skip’ There is no list of due reminders I’ve raised several tickets with support - only to be told it’s working (they then show recurring transactions scheduled). Or they provide directions that are just not correct. Has anyone gotten anywhere with this? or does the feature work for you?
I am creating a separate thread because this issue continues to be confused with Automatic Invoice Reminders and the “Online automatically follows up” setting. This is NOT the same feature.I do not use Automatic Invoice Reminders. They are disabled on my account. I cannot disable a feature that is already disabled.Despite this, QuickBooks sends my customers a “Finish your payment” email approximately 48 hours after I send their invoice. This happens even though our invoices have Net 30 payment terms.I have contacted QuickBooks Support multiple times and have repeatedly been told to disable Automatic Invoice Reminders. That does not solve the problem because those reminders were never enabled in the first place.Since support has been unable to identify the issue, I created a mock customer profile and have been testing the invoice process myself. What I have confirmed:Automatic Invoice Reminders are OFF. The “Finish your payment” email is still sent. Disabling “Online automatically follows
I see another thread about this but I’m adding a new one in hopes of escalating this issue! My customers started receiving emails after they open an invoice reminding them that they did not pay. There is no way to turn these off. It is unprofessional. QBO should not be emailing customers without express permission.

i am working to update our COA with account #s and adding, changing or making account inactive. It will not allow me to add an account number for anything account that is connected to Payroll. Is there a workaround for this?
Several months ago I had a credit card statement of less than $100. Since I had made some additional purchases since that statement, I wanted to get ahead of the next statement and overpay this current one, which I did, sending in $400. I logged that payment in QuickBooks by changing the bill amount due to $400, even though the statement was less than $100, since QB wouldn’t allow me to enter an amount greater than the bill, which is spectacularly stupid, if you ask me.Now QB keeps showing me an amount due of over $300 in the Pay Bills window! Seriously?!?!How do I correct this and get rid of this?
I'm using Enterprise. This month there have been 2 payments (from 2 separate clients) that have been entered twice in my register. However, only one payment shows up in each client's file. I can only delete them out of the register (I can't find them anywhere else), and each time I go into Merchant Services, the duplicates get entered into the register again.
