The QuickBooks engineers have changed the dashboard again - and only made things worse as far as I can tell. Just when I got the widgets and bookmarks organized from the last overhaul, and working the way that matches our business, QB changed it up again. Now the most frequently used options are buried three layers deep - when a single click was enough to pull up invoices, customers, products, etc. Also, the graphs showing our daily, weekly, monthly, annual sales are broken. The widget used to be a nice chart showing trends. Now there is just a single point on the graph (the total sales for the period selected) rather than a useful graph. It has been rendered worthless. AND QuickBooks keeps raising the monthly cost - despite deteriorating quality. Please fire your software developers and lower our prices!!

The info that QuickBooks provides in response to this question isn't helpful unless you can find the accounting menu, which I can't

I need to unreconcile an entire month. Is there a reason I cannot do this myself? I feel it unnecessary to contact and pay my accountant to do this for me when I own the company. Please advise. Thanks!

I recently took over management of our QBO account and there were a handful of things from 2024 needing fixing. I believe 11 bank transactions were confirmed instead of matched to the corresponding entry. It looks like maybe this created a fake QB entry to match the bank transaction to, which left the actual QB entry used to print the check in limbo. So I had to unmatch the fake QB entries, then unreconcile them (change R to blank in the Bank Register) so I could find the actual QB entry in the "Find other matches" list. Now these 11 fake entries show up in the Reconciliation Discrepancy Report. I tried to just delete a fake entry and now that one shows up in the Reconciliation Discrepancy Report, getting me nowhere. There are also instances where I voided checks that were reconciled because they were printed in error and were not deposited. Then one other instance where the last person voided a reconciled check that did end up getting deposited later on and is matched. For this can I

We are a small not-for profit library.  I need to add a revenue account for property taxes received.  Help?

Hi!The “Subject to Medicare” button got incorrectly checked, and an employee’s paystub got processed with no MC withheld. After turning “Subject to Medicare” back on, I manually calculated the missing amount and added the missing MC tax to be withheld from the employee’s next payroll. Now I’m processing quarterly reports and found out Quickbooks self-adjusted and removed my correction. How do I prevent this going forward?I’m on Quickbooks Payroll Desktop.

My main account (with a QBO subscription) can't receive codes via text or call that's why i created another intuit account, and this account can receive without any delays or errors. I tried using different devices and browsers but the issue still the same. Anyone got ideas how to fix this or know the possible root cause? To clarify, i can log-in to my main QBO account but not when i go to my Intuit account.

Hi, I have reconciled my January accounts but now notice that I have posted one transaction to the wrong category.  The amount is fine, I just need to change the category (from Payroll expense to Payroll liability) but I don't want to mess up the reconciliation. Can I amend this through the chart of accountant, open up the transaction and change the category or will this mess-up the reconciliation?  Sorry - I'm new to book keeping and just learning as I go.

Hello I am a new user just in the middle of setting everything up and was wondering what is the standard way of recording fuel used in our vehicles? No need for per mile etc as the vehicles are ours so just a case of recording the individual transaction and attaching copies of receipts. Thanks in advance :)

I need to tag some of our incoming bank deposits. What will happen to my information in mid-May when the tags disappear? There is a way of 'migrating' some tags but not the bank deposits. What am I supposed to do? Nobody asked for this. It's like the awful Core Payroll mess all over again. I'm wondering what will be phased out next?

My client had accidentally voided an invoice. Can we turn it back or do we need to recreate it? Because the data inside disappeared.

Can anyone guide me on how to add a new employee's contribution. A screen shot would be great since this old lady sometimes missread things.

I purchased a new computer and when I downloaded Quick Books, restored my company file from a backup. Now, when I go to my invoices and click on the attachment that was there, I get a message that says specific file not found. How do I find that file on my old computer and bring it to my new one? I do not have an online account.

Can i subscribe to the Payroll even if i already have a QBO company or is it a separate entity?

Is there a way to know if another user has edited or deleted a transaction? Using QBO. Thank you!!

I'm having trouble making QBO accountants account, can anyone guide me through? Also a screenshot would be much helpful. Thank you!!
